Smart Business for Small Business

The annual Jumpstart Entrepreneur Conference is a key resource for entrepreneurs! If you are interested in tapping into the local resources and services to increase your chances for success, then this conference hosted each spring is for you. From a prominent keynote speaker to breakout sessions that highlight business advancement tools – there is everything a business needs to grow all in one place.

Nearly 100 participants at March 2012's event had the opportunity to hear other business professionals talk about their experiences with starting, developing, and managing their businesses. They also were able to choose from eight breakout sessions with topics that include business planning, financing options, marketing, inventors – ideas to market, legal structures, government contracting and more. Participants also will have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion about real world topics and issues that are of interest to developing entrepreneurs.

Also, each year the Regional Chamber and the eTeam recognizes several Genesee County businesses with "Genesee 10 to Watch" and "Spark" awards. Businesses receive the awards for exhibiting growth and in recognition of their contributions to Flint and Genesee County.
